Revolution Controller
What do you guys think about it?
My first impression was it looked odd and I'm not sure how the general public will take to it. But as I think more about it, and hear more about what it's capable of, I get more excited about it. I really wanted Nintendo back on top, and I seriously hope this can tilt it in their favour. Games have been getting too similar, original playing style is few and far between, but this opens up a whole new dimension to work with.
I'm pretty sure if I get a next gen console, it'll be revolution now.

wen i saw the remote part. and that was all they were showing at first i was put off.
then later they showed it attaching to somthing like a regular controller.
it was better. but the attachment still looks annoying to me.
I probably havent read up on it as much as you have.
so im just going off visual really.
I'll probably warm up to it after i play a display in a video game store

I read how they were trying to make it backwards compatible with vintage nes games, and if you turn the controller on it's side, you get a NES style controller.
The feel of it won't b exactly the same as holding a TV remote, there's a dip in the bottom with a trigger button so it should feel more natural in your hand.

It seems like a response to the endless oneupmanship of the console wars. Nintendo really can't win against Microsoft and Sony if they just keep releasing more powerful consoles. They've had a game advantage in the past but that is gone. Setting themselves apart seems like the only way to compete. Why buy a Nintendo if it's just a lamer version of the competition?
And that's the thing, I stopped caring about these "bigger and better" consoles around the time the PS2 came out. This is the first time I've really been excited about a console hardware development since then - and from Nintendo no less, a company I haven't been that passionate about in the past.
