To be more helpful:
release date in japan is march 16th 2006, other countries as of yet not specifically known though in theory 2006 as well.

lots of easy sites to google for info.

The 6 main characters are Vaan (Male protagonist), Ashe (female protagonist), Veira, Penelo, Balthier and Basch

I like Ashe...she looks pretty cool except for the pink skirt... just the fact it's pink...the length is sort of ok.

im alone and bored and should be studying but i have moved my lovely ps2 to chewis flat and i miss it soooo much im sure its a plot to keep me at his flat and have me there more often or he really is holding my ps2 hostage...nooooo my little ps2!!! save my ps2 hes allready opened it up and stuck a thing in it aww wot to do??!!

That "thingy" is a network/harddrive adapter with an 80GB harddrive and several games installed. This is a good thing.
