dont some programs like excel need the $ sign though for there fucked up forumla's?

I thought the pound was a imperial measurement....

Like I said, $ is used in programming and yeah, it's also used in Excel.

I thought pound was an imperial measurement too but apparently there's also a metric version of it. *shrugs* Interesting that this seems to be most common in the US where they generally don't use the metric system.

we always called them english or metric, never heard of imperial.
