Cause he's been trying for 6 years to win it. Shouts for Sköll are mine.

You hear mostly NDM (North Down Militia) section of the crowd, Both of us are in that group, they weren't that vocal this round, either way our group was winning the tourney so.

Aye, I forgot to defend my legs to be honest and my footwork was poor in places, I'm a big lad and it's one of the easier places to hit.

Not trying to take anything away from Boz, he's a very good fighter and more than capallable of taking me down, he is lethal with combo attacks which this kinda thing doesn't permit. We end up fighting quite often and we are fairly aware of one another's faults, usually we don't fight with center boss round shields (Center Boss, means the grip is a single clasp to hold in the center) though. I'm Heater/ Kite and he's basically a buckler fighter.

It's called Thor's Hammer.

In the past, hammer was only restriction, it is now shield and hammer.

Due to a dramatic amount of piss taking, Hammer and Shield type and size as been restricted to be exactly the same. In the last 2 comps it's 36/ 42 inch one handed hammers and Center-Boss Viking Round shields.

Basically two fighters, have a Score. The entire game has a set of rules which I won't bore you with the details atm. Bascially, event that gets condensed down until it's a single number of hits. 1hit = -1 to the guy hit.

(example)

Mik 6 - Boz 6
(Boz strikes Mik First)
Mik 5 - Boz 6

and first to zero loses.
As is the case once or twice in the vid, in the case of the two guys striking each other at the same or too close to tell, both are deduced 1 point.

I believe the score to begin with was 6-6, the judges (4 of them) half way through forgot the score, but they figured it out in the end.

I don't feel to bad about it, always next year.

---------------------

As or more, there is talk of earlier rounds being on film or atleast another camera angle on this fight.

Mostly NDM fights I would reckon. Pity cause the two guys with 7-8 score and their slugging match was awesome. And Leo vs Boz was damn close. I'll see what there is and get it online asap.

YOu should use your weapon to block next time and throw your shield at him instead . . . decapitation is sweet.
