Dollar was quoted at 95 yen in London I heard. I hope it only gets lower. I came when it was like 130 yen to the dollar, and I've steadily gotten more and more buying power in relative terms to the dollar. I'm probably making about $3000 more a year at this point. I hope the dollar gets weaker against the yen at least until I get back to the USA.
yay.

I was gonna say maybe you shouldn't leave just yet! But I guess you can at least keep some of your money in yen for a while after you get back.

Nah, I'm gonna leave but I'll probably be back in 2009. I get a pension refund from Japan that's about 770,000 yen, which usually was about $7000, but with the dollar as low as it is now. I could be getting close to $8000 back!

Dollar to the pound is terrible at the moment, Dave.
It's about £1=$1.90 which is pretty bad if you're buying games on Steam or ordering from US websites.

£1 to $1.90 is still quite good considering it was more like $1.50 before 9/11.
XE says it's $2.01 right now. That's where I always look.
