Wait, is that an archive of an archive? Crazy. Sadly, the BetaFF news piece on Aura seems to be missing. Shame.

Aaron stole a load of databases, which included ours, which included those two.

It was kind of a one note joke, it wasn't all that great to begin with and stemed from our old 'raids' on other forums just to get a reaction and troll, the idea of making a site totally about this was kinda doomed to failure from the get go.
It literally could only work if the person responded like a fucking dipshit and didn't notice the fact they where totally making shit up.
Like the story they did on us, shit, cause we didn't care.

As Chewi said, the stories themselves weren't particularly funny, it was the reactions caused because, yes, a lot of those people completely freaked out, threated us with non existent lawyers, and it was just overall a good time... I was never under any impression that anyone enjoyed reading that stuff outside of those of us writing it, and those who it was written about.
Most FF sites in general were doomed to failure anyway. That whole little forum culture is quite dead. Even this site isn't about FF anymore. People grew up and moved on. I used to love those games, but i can't say I've touched one in like 5 years.... which coincided with my PS2 kicking the bucket and me not bothering to replace it.
Though admit to googling BetaFF from time to time, and i must say I'm touched every few months to still find people talking about it I can only hope that years after I stop doing internet radio people still talk about that too.

One that didn't actually die. Hilarious that Garamond recently was banned from there. For spamming, of course.
