My brother's band is pretty well-known throughout Jersey now so he's just been treated to a brand new motherfucker of an amp.

Just after he told me about it, he also told me that the corner of the TV screen has started going yellow. I joked that the magnets in the new amp probably fucked it up but he said that it actually started around the same time he put the amp in there. I didn't think 150W would be powerful enough from a small distance but I guess it really is! I then told him it'll fuck up any nearby hard drives as well and now he can't work out where the hell he's gonna keep it. Then he moved it away from the TV and it suddenly got worse. I suppose moving the magnetic field around doesn't help either. These things can sometimes right themselves over time. He's really hoping that'll happen here.

Haha. His bedroom is already an attic conversion.

Officially our anthem is God Save The Queen. Maybe he could play the Sex Pistols version? :D We also have an unofficial anthem though, which is used for things like international sporting events where a different anthem is needed. It's called Ma Normandie. It's in Norman French, it sounds awful, no one knows it and everyone wants to change it because it has more references to France than the French anthem. Actually I'd never really heard it until just now, it doesn't sound so bad without the words but I still think it should be changed.

i have a magnetic moose thing stuck to my ceiling rotating light.
shortly after it didn't work.

though i dont see how magnetism has much to do with a lightbulb rather than a cathode ray tube and other magnets and things...

He's the lead guitarist of The Smokin' Vincents. Their first song is a bit shit by his own admission but it was written by the girls as a school project before the guys joined. They were only brought in to make a video but then decided to stay. Having said that, the song has been at the top of the UK Coke charts for months or something. They've been on local TV, radio and newspaper. They play a lot of shows around the island. I'm not sure what they play but last time I heard they played Feeder's Buck Rogers and got an encore. Now they're about to make their second video.
