i wish bill gates would remove his software from my ASS

seriously

now they won't let you accept music or video files over MSN. They say it's because it 'may contain content that could be harmful to your computer.

My MB has 1 IDE, 1 FDD (that's for a floppy drive) and 4 SATA slots.

there is a link for it so you can see.

They still haven't given up on the floppies eh? Hehe. Did you bother getting a drive? I had one but my Dell is so small that there was no room for my spare hard drive so I took it out. Can't say I've missed it.

Windows seems to show that I have a floppy, despite me actually not having one.

I'm going to buy one just for the hell of it.

And MSN isn't stopping me from sending files to people, but when I receive them, if I try to open them from the conversation window. I get this gay, very gay, pop up telling me Windows has done me the favour of removing the file because it could be harmful. Good job on assuming I'm as thick as pigshit, Microsoft.

Anyone having that problem? This works 100% as a a work around that I figured out. When the pop up, err, pops up, don't click ok. Navigate your way to the file, copy it and move it elsewhere. then click ok and say to yourself "fuck you, Bill!"

Yeah I have that same problem, Matt. I just have to open it from the folder rather than the msn window.

I haven't had a floppy drive for years, but recently I kinda wished I had one so I could flash my bios easy. I couldn't find another way to do it with my motherboard.

I've not been on an Apple mac since they were still called Apple macs. And I keep using linux occasionally and it just blows.

For me, I just don't use MSN messenger period, so I never have this problem with files. It's bad enough i have to use windows if I want to be a PC gamer, but Bill isn't getting shit else on my machine.... excluding of course DirectX
