I havent seen the island. but it sounds like more of a rip off than a modern twist.
in the book the age was 21.
which would make him dead renewed about 4 years ago.

from what I recall, mind you I've only seen the last five minutes, it was they are clones that are basically there to harvest for organ of the 'real people'

Reminds me of this 'old school' film where inhabitants die at the age of 35. They all do, God knows why, but they do. Until this man and woman find this old dude whose about a million years old (I exaggerate he's 50 or 60 something)! Then the inhabitiants see him and realise "OMG! We don't have to die at 35 after all!" I really do think it's a film against communisim and conforming to society. I don't know why it reminds me of this film, but I would love to know it's name. It's some cheesy, old sci -fi film from the 60's or 70's.
