Yo~

This is the place to say hi, if you're new. If you're old then nobody cares. Quit complaining and take your pills.

But admittedly I don't really understand it.

I dunno If we have them here, or if we do they're called something else, or if even I qualify. just that tis a subculture it seems like you Euro-folk seem hell bent on destroying.

I saw a terrible rant a few days ago on a game site.
It is a subculture that is hell bent on destroying everything else. They're scumbags. They break laws, act like twats, start fights and generally act like a social hindrance to progression. Bought a new car in the rougher areas of the suburbs? Don't park it outside your house.

And you're black, I don't think chavs can be black. Chavs are far too racist, unless you're going to sort them out with some good coke. EDIT: Or called Moses.

seriously it so closely mirrors the idea of what the average american project is like.

and every hood has its White Boy Joe or Opie.
staple of any black community.
And you're black, I don't think chavs can be black.
And, You Have a Black guy of Like behavoir, What do you call him then?
Cuzz I'm sure you must.

I see where you're coming from on this, Johnny, but while I'm not a fan of some black culture and while I also admit that chavs draw a lot of their influences from black culture, those influences aren't really what makes them bad. They listen to hip hop. They wear sports label clothing. They also wear massive jewelry and big chains. For some reason that no one understands, they wear Burberry as well. All of that is harmless. But they also adopt a gang-land culture by stealing cars, racing cars around dangerously, starting fights and riots, breaking into peoples homes, destroying just about anything and generally making other peoples lives a total misery. They do all this while drunk on the cheapest, nastiest shit they can get their hands on and while high on some pretty fucked up drugs like ecstasy and heroin. Their other hobbies include skipping school, being on the dole (living off government benefits that people like me pay for) and getting young girls (or themselves) pregnant. Believe it or not, these aren't things that I or even Shin generally associate with black people.

Now someone once told me a story of how they fell over and hurt themselves in the street. All the regular people walked right on past and it was actually a chav (or what appeared to be one at least) who stopped to help her up. I think there are some that take on the lighter aspects of the lifestyle such as the clothes, the music and maybe the drink but don't get involved in the rougher stuff. The rest, however, I believe to be a serious detriment to society.

If you want a real experts opinion, ask Becky. She used to be one.

Oh I forgot, all this seems to start around age 11 but the age is getting younger.

I love this place. The mispelling of heroin had me laughing for ages but just the random tangents shit goes off on.

Like the saying goes, don't just a book by it's cover.

Haha. Oops. Fixed. :P

I try to reserve judgment on anyone I meet in person but you can't pretend this shit doesn't happen.

I agree with you 100%, James. But I don't see where he's coming from with the black stuff. I didn't even understand his post.

And less of the Shin.

Again, thanks for all the welcomes ^^

I find it amusing that a rather basic thread has turned into a wonderful little debate. :3 All's fair in love and war, and all that jazz ;D
