Re: Cake Mix
She likes chocolate and cake. Just not combined. I should combine her chocolate stash and cake stash to save space.
Re: Cake Mix
No. Marna doesn't like chocolate cake.
Cake Mix
Marna said eating the cake mix would make me feel ill later. She was right.
But damn, it was worth it.

Hey, for all you know £10 could be like... 1 MILLION DOLLARS. Yeah, I wish.

You have won…
Amnesty International Dear Mr Le Cuirot, I'm delighted to let you know that your lottery number 123456 has come up in the draw this week and you have… *turns over the folded letter, shaking with excitement* …won £10.00 in the Amnesty Lottery. Haha! It's better than a kick in the teeth, I suppose. B...

Re: URGENT: Front row FF Edinburgh concert FOR SALE!
Marna did go in the end. It was really good but we probably paid over the odds for the front row tickets. The orchestra was right in our face so our view was quite obscured. I would have liked to have seen the video screen better because it did add some atmosphere to the music.

Re: Games you played Recently....
It wasn't the Black Mages, it was Distant Worlds, an orchestral thing. Wikipedia actually says 4 was a big hit for all the reasons I said it sucked. Funny. I guess it was groundbreaking at the time but it hasn't aged well. I saw they did a 3D remake but I can't shake the feeling that it's probably a...

What do you actually want it to do?Mik wrote:I was interested in the steam box but it seems like all their ambition has been bitch slapped out of them during development, not sure what makes it any different to anything else at this point, although the steam OS might be worth a dual boot.

Re: Games you played Recently....
I played ff8, last week, seems alright :D I kept meaning to post about a year ago that I played right through FF4. Now maybe it was because I was playing it on my phone with the sound off but I was really unimpressed. Heavily clichéd story, even by FF standards. Wooden characters. Boring gameplay. ...

Heh. It was inevitable, wasn't it? I've not seen recent figures but it seems like people have been quick to forget. Shinies tend to have that effect.

Re: Where are they now ?
It won't work with Hangouts, that's precisely the problem. Even though you have other Google Talk contacts there, Google doesn't do XMPP federation, meaning it doesn't pass on messages to other XMPP servers. You need to use Google Talk itself via gmail, their old client, or some other XMPP client.

Re: Where are they now ?
Not sure about your Skype/MSN thing, Mik, but I wonder if it's related to the MSN shutdown. It was supposed to shut down in April. My account worked for ages after that. I kept signing in just so I could see it die but I wonder if that's what kept it alive because it didn't kick the bucket until I w...

Re: Where are they now ?
Google Talk has been around for donkey's years. They're actually half way to chucking it in the bin since launching Google Hangouts, which is more closely linked with Google+. I like Google Talk because it uses XMPP (Jabber) so you can chat to Google Talk users, even through your own completely sepa...

Re: So I started drinking coffee.
I'm the same, my parents never put me onto tea of coffee so I never started. It makes me the awkward one whenever I visit people but I relish it. If I really want to come across a bit odd/gay then I tell them I have sensitive lips. I did need a booster when I started working in the office thou...
