Astronauts win in space. Otherwise, cavemen win. Damn dirty apes.

If you take my name in ASCII, add sixty-six, divide by my SAT score, and multiply by the number of morons who actually care, it sums up to 665. So close!

I'm about half way through Middlesex and I'm impressed. It's by Jeffrey Eugenides, the guy who wrote The Virgin Suicides, which I haven't read, but maybe that gives an idea of his style. Middlesex won a Pulitzer for fiction, which is why I'm reading it; I'm trying to read all of the Pulitzer winners...

For different points of view in the same story, try Faulkner.

I read both 20,000 Leagues and Sphere when I was a kid. I remember liking them.

You know what video game has at least one good book? Myst.

In reference to the obvious ending, and the "constant referral", I know what you mean because that kind of thing is present throughout the series. King seems incapable of creating suspense, and reminds the reader of obvious points again and again. I think it's a case of underestimating the...

Astos. When I played the game, the phrase "your ass is toast" would invariably come up when he was encountered. Ah me. My brother played four black mages and won, which I thought was impressive. Apparently bosses were a cinch. He also played with one fighter and made it all the way to Chao...

That's funny. The fourth book is the one that I liked the best. When I first read The Gunslinger I found Roland's world very engrossing. It seemed original that a fantasy world would contain remnants of a past technology. Keep in mind that this was when I was in the fifth grade, around the time Fina...

I see these challenges on GameFaqs sometimes, like beating a game with no weapons or something. I've seen no sphere grid guides for Final Fantasy X, speed guides to Silent Hill, and of course the famous four white mages games. How many of us have tried something like this? I personally beat Castleva...

So I finished The Dark Tower a couple of weeks ago. It ended well, and by that I mean it ended. Lesley, if you're enjoying the story then read the next two books. Whenever you think about going further, deliver a mild electric shock to yourself. I finished it a while ago, but Gilead by Marilynne Rob...

I spent a good part of yesterday playing Shadow of the Colossus. For a game that is essentially a jumping puzzle it's surprisingly addictive. It's also beautiful to look at. I think it's by the same team that did Ico, which makes me wonder what they'll do next.
