Re: This is still here? Woot!

Hello, you two. :P Yeah, I broke it for a while but didn't notice. You could look around but not post. Hard to tell there's a problem with the latter these days. I'm well, which probably means I'll break it again soon. A phpBB upgrade is overdue and I'm finally getting fibre broadband in a week's t...

Re: Tool on streaming

I used to be the same. Though I do still buy music either physically or via BandCamp, I'm full on streaming these days. If it's a band I really like I'll buy the albums as direct as possible (which is why bandcamp is really good - plus it's DRM-free) Through Spotify I've found hundreds of new bands ...

Tool on streaming

So, apparently Tool will be joining the wonderful world of online music streaming. Not too late to the party, guys.

I can throw out the CD's from my car now.

I distinctly remember reading about a fancy new super fast hard drive you got after a move?!

For reference, I'm holding the big leaf. The little guy is my lad :D

How fares ye, Chewi?

Re: FFAlpha RIP; The Battle Continues

Thread necro! This was really embarrassing to read. As are many of my older posts! I hope Mike and Ross are ok. Last I knew of Mike we'd managed to make peace some years ago. He was having a hard time with the guys at his work and looking after his family. I genuinely hope things are better for him ...

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire: ADWD [Spoiler Zone]

I'm about a 5th of the way through ADWD: Dreams and Dust. Obviously none of the above is a shock or spoiler to me anymore, after seeing much of the show. It sounds cliche, but I really am enjoying reading the books more than the show. I'm not sure why they cut out the Dorne stuff from the show at al...

Re: So, what's everyone up to?

You did the important bit, that's what really counts to most employers. Hell, only one employer ever asked for my degree certificate. I'm real proud of you anyhow, man. You've come a long way. As for me, I'm at Metaswitch, which is a veeery big change from all the small startups and otherwise tiny ...

Re: Where are they now ?

Funny, Marna was trying to use Skype tonight and I said just use Hangouts. This kind of shit was supposed to stay in the 90s. I've actually given up now, I don't even bother with IM any more. If you need me, it's email or IRC. Or Slack but only at work. Yeah I'm much the same, now. I ditched all so...

Re: I finally got it

I saw them but eh, one domain is enough for anybody and I'm rather attached to this one. I would like aura.uk but Nominet are a bunch of corrupt bastards. I don't know what the hell they're playing at right now. What does your hosts file have to do with SSL? Well, I was using "matttest.dev&quo...

Re: Game of Thrones: How are you guys not discussing this se

The scenes between Twyin and Arya in the book were awesome, but in the tv show they were even better, that little girl is a hella good actress, she was holding her own. Going to call you out on this. They never happened! It was Roose Bolton in the books. They added Tywin-Arya just for the show. I'm...

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I hardly find time to game these days. I've got a shelf full of PS4 games that I preorder, because I'm totally going to play, and never "find time" to play. However, someone recently give me a Nintendo Wii so I bought Twilight Princess. Always wanted to play it... Only 13 years late to the...

So, what's everyone up to?

What's going on with everyone these days? I'm still in good old Yorkshire. I left University in 2015, but I didn't graduate. Funds were difficult to obtain to stay afloat. I quit, took my grades (I could theoretically go back and finish my final year) and got a job. Currently working for a UK academ...
